What’s up this week at Orlando’s theme parks and attractions:
+ The monthly Velvet Sessions at Universal’s Hard Rock Hotel will feature the band Lit. The cocktail party/lobby concert begins at 6:30 p.m. with show time at 8:30 p.m. more info: velvetsessions.com
+ Friday marks the debut of SeaWorld Orlando’s TurtleTrek attraction, the first 3-D domed theater experience in the world. The film will surround guests in the story of a 25-year span of a turtle’s life. more info: SeaWorldOrlando.com.
+ The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival continues at Disney World. Musical guest for the Flower Power concert is Chuck Negron, formerly of three Dog Night. show times are 5:15 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. at America Gardens Theater. In the Festival Center, Monica Pederson of “HGTV Dream Home 2012″ will demonstrate how to make floral arrangements at noon and 3 p.m. Friday-Sunday. these activities are included in regular Epcot admission. more info: disneyworld.com/flower.
+ It’s the third Saturday of Viva La Musica at SeaWorld Orlando. The Bayside Stadium concert will feature RKM & Ken-Y at 3 p.m. The festival also salutes Latin culture and cuisine and is included in regular SeaWorld admission. more info: SeaWorldOrlando.com
+ Sunday will be last call for “The serious Art of Make-Believe” exhibition at the Orange County Regional History Center. It spotlights the work (and the processes behind the work) of the design team at Universal Orlando, including objects, sketches and models from Halloween Horror Nights, Grinchmas and select costumes and attractions — some of which never made it off the drawing board. more info: thehistorycenter.org.
