Orlando Shakespeare Theater in Partnership with UCF is offering an opportunity to those employed by nonprofit arts organizations to purchase tickets for the 2011-2012 season at a reduced rate with a “Starving Artist” pass. Starving Artist passholders will receive one ticket to each of Orlando Shakespeare Theater’s six Signature Series productions for only $30. (Limit two per person)
In order to receive this discounted ticket price, the buyer will need to provide proof of employment (contract, agreement, pay stub) from a nonprofit arts organization with membership in United Arts of Central Florida. the pass may be redeemed to any performance during the first three weeks of each production based on available seating at the time of redemption.
The 2011-2012 Signature Series is under way with Oscar Wilde’s “the Importance of being Earnest,” playing at the John and Rita Lowndes Shakespeare Center through Oct. 9.
Starving Artist passes are available by calling 407-447-1700 and in person at the box office located inside the Lowndes Shakespeare Center, 812 E. Rollins St. in Orlando’s Loch Haven Cultural Park.
