From April 9 through may 11, American Express is sponsoring the “ Daily Getaways” promotion. Each weekday during the promotional period, you can purchase getaway-related packages at discounted prices. The deal will change daily and is a very limited supply. I’ll post each offer a day ahead of time so you have time to sign up for the pre-sale if you’re interested.
Pre-sales are offered for select offers from 12 noon – 1:00 pm with the regular sale launching at 1:00 EST. Based on what we’ve seen already, these deals do sell out quickly. if you’re interested in making a purchase, make sure you’re at the promotional website ready to make a purchase right at 12:00. Remember a new quota will be released at 1:00, so if you can’t get in during the pre-sale, you’ll have another shot. also, if you see a message that all the offers are in someone else’s cart – try again. those offers will be re-released if the transaction isn’t completed.
April 13th Daily Getaway: Discount Tickets to Busch Gardens & Sea World
Maximum purchase: 6 of each ticket type Bottom Line: Good deal for one-day visit How to buy It: Head to the promotion website at 1:00pm EST on Friday, April 13.
I love amusement parks, but there’s no disputing it’s an expensive day out. Discount tickets can save you a bundle (especially for larger groups), although be sure to budget plenty extra for parking, food, drinks, souvenirs, midway games, and lockers.
These tickets can be a good deal for someone looking for a day pass to the parks. I spent a long time looking for ticket discounts when I visited Busch Gardens Tampa and Sea World Orlando in December, and this promotion would have saved me a great deal of time in googling for promotions. That said, I’m not convinced this is automatically a good deal for all scenarios.
If you’re just headed to a single park for a single day, by all means – buy a ticket. You’ll save $20+ per adult! But if you plan on returning multiple times, you might want to look into passes. Busch Gardens Williamsburg, for example, offers a pass valid for unlimited visits through September 3 for $66, making it a better value than this promotion if you’ll visit two or more times. If you’re visiting a few parks, you can often save just as much (or more) by looking into multi-park tickets. A pass including Busch Gardens Tampa, Sea World Orlando, and Aquatica is $135 ($45/park – the same as this promotion), and it improves upon the offer by allowing unlimited entry and park hopper options for 14 days. A child ticket is even cheaper.
The math may work in your favor, especially if you pay with an American Express to get that extra 10% off, but spend five minutes doing research to make sure it’s the best option for you.
Here are a few ways to get great value:
No pre-sale for this deal, so head over right at 1:00 if you’re interested.
