It might be winter in Australia at the moment but model Miranda Kerr was certainly hotting things up in Sydney yesterday.
The Victoria Secrets model looked sensational in a scarlet lace dress by Australian designer Lover as she posed for a photo shoot in the David Jones department store.
Miranda, 28, had returned to her home-town to help announce the addition of 60 new Australian and International brands, including the likes of Victoria Beckham and the Kardashian Kollection to its department stores, and the model certainly brought the glamour to the event.

The mother-of-one had donned the sheer lace dress which boasted a nude basque detail underneath, a nipped in waist and a waterfall hemline.
And the model accentuated her lithe limbs with a pair of beige Louboutin heels with buckle detail.
Miranda surprised shoppers at the Elizabeth street store ahead of her return to the catwalk for the store next Wednesday.

The model, who is married to English actor Orlando bloom said it was great to be back on home turf for the first time since she gave birth to her baby boy Flynn.
She told the Sydney Morning Herald: ‘I’ve been away for 18 months so it’s wonderful to come home and see my family and friends and to be here at David Jones and to be back on the catwalk.’

And speaking about her son, five month old Flynn she gushed: ‘He’s got a really good nature, he’s very warm and engaging and he’s a little flirt.’
Yesterday the model arrived into Sydney airport and was seen carrying her baby son by British actor Orlando Bloom onto her home soil for the very first time.
Clasping Flynn in her arms Kerr, couldn’t contain her excitement as she walked through customs just after 7am this morning wearing high heels.
Both she and Flynn, who was born in the U.S, seemed unaffected by the 14 hour flight from Los Angeles they’d just endured, and greeted a throng of waiting photographers happily.

Grinning and laughing, Kerr proudly showed off her alert son, who seemed to be fascinated by all the attention.
It’s the first time the tot, who was dressed in a chic white and grey striped romper, has enjoyed a trip to explore his Aussie roots.
And his mommy appeared to be deliciously excited to show off her boy to her country-folk, she also looked stunning in tight jeans, beige high heels, matching scarf and a black blazer over a crisp white t-shirt.
The brunette had also lashed a smattering of red lipstick across her pout to prepare for the proud moment.
Bloom, 34 , was not with his family, but is expected to them at the weekend.

She’ll also be promoting her lifestyle book Treasure yourself, which has only been released in her native land so far.
Next Wednesday’s event will be the first time Miranda has strolled the catwalk since giving birth to Flynn in January, in what she described as a gruelling labour.

Miranda is staying at the same Sydney hotel as fellow supermodel, Kate Moss, the Flinders Hotel in Darlinghurst.
Kate is accompanying husband Jamie Hince as his band The Kills tours Australia.
Andthe travel won’t stop with Australia, the whole family will fly to new Zealand and London, where he can become acquainted with his paternal homeland, while Bloom films The Hobbit later this year.
But before then, Bloom will hit the big screen as an authentic native Carolina cop in new movie Main Street, in which he stars alongside Oscar winner Colin Firth.

The film which also stars Patricia Clarkson and Amber Tamblyn, was directed by John Doyle and is due to be released in September 2011.
Promoted at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival, Main Street is the late Horton Foote’s last screen play, according to Entertainment Weekly.
It tells the story of a run-down North Carolina city that gets a boost when an out-of-town corporation offers to put its dilapidated old buildings to use.
