Oklahoma City 102, Dallas 99: Rick Carlisle, coach of the Mavericks, is not happy with the “dirty” Thunder. “we don’t like the cheap shots when they give them and they don’t like them if we give them … The dirty (expletive) has got to stop. we don’t want anybody getting hurt out there either way.” (Somewhere, Stan Van Gundy is doubled over laughing at Carlisle.) Clearly, the Mavericks aren’t going down without a fight. more likely in games 3 and 4 – an ejection or a Dallas win?
Indiana 93, Orlando 78: Strange win for the Pacers, who made only 2-of-20 three-pointers, turned the ball over 11 times (against just nine assists!), but still won handily.
New York 94, Miami 104: A valiant effort from the Knicks, who couldn’t make 3-pointers (5-of-15), couldn’t defend the big 3 (65 points), and let Miami’s role players make their bombs (Chalmers, Miller & Battier: 8-of-15 on three-pointers). down 0-2, can the Knicks win game three at the Garden without that knucklehead Amare? Probably not. The series is over. Carmelo scored 30, but even if he goes for 40+ in each of the next two, New York’s not winning. The 11-year drought will continue. Can we just fast-forward to the offseason, where the Knicks try desperately (and unsuccessfully) to unload Amare and the final three years of his contract?[Perk scrap via Jose3030]
